摘要：The asymptotic Plateau problem asks, given a Jordan curve on the sphere  at infinity of the hyperbolic 3-space, the existence and multiplicity questions on minimal surfaces spanned by it. I will briefly describe the history of the problem, new developments, and connections to Teichmuller theory and open problems. This is based on joint work with Ben Lowe and Andrea Seppi.
