In this talk, we will briefly introduce a new type of geometric flow defined by the gradient of the Weyl functional. In dimension 4, such gradient is call Bach tensor, which was introduced by Rudolf Bach to study conformal gravity in early 1920's.

In general relativity, such flow is proposed in to investigate the Ho{\v{r}}ava-Lifshitz gravity, but the short time existence of such flow was not established at that moment. We will present that some modification is necessary, and the gradient property of such modified flow will be preserved. This work is joint with Professor Jie Qing from UC Santa Cruz.
