课程内容简介(中文):

数值分析是本专业的一门重要的基础课程,其主要目的使学生具有坚实的理论基础和实际应用能力。本课程称为计算方法(算法),它给出一些常用算法和它的理论背景,通过对某些问题的应用,使学生取得实际工作经验,同时自己去发现新结果。

本课程主要由数值逼迫和数值代数两部分组成。主要内容包括误差的基本概念,代数插值,函数逼近,数值积分和数值微分,以及一元非线性方程的求解,线性方程组的直接解法和迭代解法,矩阵范数的概念,及矩阵特征值的计算问题。

要求学生必须修完数学分析和线性代数两门课,再选读此课程。

 

课程内容简介(英文):

Numerical analysis is a fundamental course regarding scientific computation. It aims to build up students’ theoretical background as well as capability of practical application. The main subject of this course is computational methods, or algorithms. Each method can be applied to some particular sets of data. Students are expected to collect suitable data and complete the practical work to obtain various results.

In general, there are two sections, numerical approximation and numerical algebra, which will cover the following: elementary concept of error, algebraic interpolation, numerical integration and numerical differentiation, solving of one variation of non-linear equation, the direct methods of solving the systems equations and iteration methods, and eigenvector and eigenvalue of matrix.

The prerequisites are Mathematic Analysis and Algebra.
