Principles of Database System course is a core essential course for undergraduate students in computer science and information science. It presents the fundamental concepts of database management. These concepts include aspects of database design, database languages, and database-system implementation. The main contents are overview, database models, relational database, object-based database, database storage and querying, database system architecture and case studies. By learning this course, students should understand the fundamental concepts of database system, the related knowledge, the implementation of database system, and should design and development the information management system using database technique.
